10 Guest Characters We'd Love To See In Mortal Kombat 12 (2024)

If the strength of the Mortal Kombat franchise is any indication, there's certainly going to be another installment coming in the next few years. The last few MK titles have spiced up the formula a tad by adding in guest characters from other franchises such as Jason Voorhees, the Predator, and the Terminator, to name a few.

Today we're looking at ten guest characters we'd love to see in the next Mortal Kombat game. Consider this a short-list shout-out to the MK crew. Pick a few, or toss the whole lot in, and watch the body parts fly!

10 RIDDICK

10 Guest Characters We'd Love To See In Mortal Kombat 12 (1)

Vin Diesel's eyeshined anti-hero could make an appearance in Mortal Kombat 12, complete with dual shivs ready to go! Riddick is a formidable character who has tackled the galaxy's ugliest baddies, so he'd fit right in alongside the MK roster.

With his ruthless and cold demeanor, Riddick wouldn't think twice about dicing his foes to bits in a variety of creative ways. We could see a fatality involving Riddick using his eyesight to set up a gruesome first-person skinning or beheading kill, but we'll leave that to the devs!

9 LOGAN

10 Guest Characters We'd Love To See In Mortal Kombat 12 (2)

We'd choose the movie Logan for this one, given the film's R-rating and the fact that the character would fit so well within the MK universe. Hugh Jackman's old man Logan wasn't afraid to pop his claws through the heads and bodies of anyone who dared get in his way, and it's a trait that would fit nicely in Mortal Kombat 12.

The creative minds behind Mortal Kombat's infamous fatalities could certainly put those adamantium claws to good use to rip, tear, slice and dice Logan's opponents to ribbons, while striking a signature Marvel comic pose at the end!

8 BLADE

10 Guest Characters We'd Love To See In Mortal Kombat 12 (3)

Everyone's favorite vampire hunter is a definite match for the MK crew. This badass anti-hero has the strength, the weapons and the martial arts skills to go toe-to-toe with the best of them, and still emerge victorious.

If the Blade trilogy taught us anything, it's that the character loves to dispatch his foes in a number of stylish and inventive ways. Whether by sword or gadgetry, Blade could certainly bring the house down with some inventive fatalities.

7 THE CROW

10 Guest Characters We'd Love To See In Mortal Kombat 12 (4)

The devs could go right back to the source and inject Brandon Lee's Crow character into the game, to pay homage to the screen legend. Eric Draven was practically made to mess up the Mortal Kombat world. He has the speed, the super-strength and the near-invulnerability to withstand anything the MK characters can throw at him.

Fatalities would need a bit of planning, however. Though the Crow was a powerful force of destruction in the movie, there wasn't a lot in the way of inventive kills. We're sure it wouldn't take thinking to come up with a few.

6 JUDGE DREDD

10 Guest Characters We'd Love To See In Mortal Kombat 12 (5)

This brutal lawman could enter the MK universe with the express intent of laying down the law on his opponents, Judge-style! Dredd's calculating ruthlessness and unflinching combat skills could send even the most hardened Outworld villain running for the hills!

Fatalities could include an inventive use of Dredd's signature Lawgiver, a death-dealing device responsible for some of the most gruesome kills we've ever seen in a movie. Go back and watch the 2012 action hit Dredd. You'll get the idea!

5 SNAKE PLISSKEN

10 Guest Characters We'd Love To See In Mortal Kombat 12 (6)

Call him Snake, or he'll take your frickin' head off! This veteran action character is an easy fit for Mortal Kombat 12. He's got the combat skills, and the willingness to dish out death on anyone who so much as looks in his direction.

With an arsenal of weapons at his disposal, Snake could ventilate his opponents with a machine gun as easy as he could drive a spiked baseball bat through their skulls. Combine the two, and it's a recipe for good old fashioned 80's nostalgia mixed with modern MK madness!

4 HELLBOY

10 Guest Characters We'd Love To See In Mortal Kombat 12 (7)

Mysticism is inherent to the Mortal Kombat franchise, and that paves a wide road for Hellboy to make an entrance into the 12th installment. This demon with a heart of gold is no stranger to dishing out punishment on the bad guys, and he's got enough raw strength to put down an entire legion, single-handedly.

Speaking of hands, there's a lot of damage Hellboy can do with his stone fist. Surely it could be incorporated into several gruesome fatalities that would make Negan blush!

3 ALICE

10 Guest Characters We'd Love To See In Mortal Kombat 12 (8)

The Resident Evil films put Milla Jovovich's character Alice right at the forefront, and turned her into an action vehicle superstar. The movies are just as over-the-top as the Mortal Kombat franchise, so there's no reason to omit her from the next installment.

In her T-Virus infused superhuman form, Alice was capable of standing up to the hulking Nemesis while holding her own. If she can handle that, she can surely go a few rounds with MK's most deadly warriors!

2 DARTH MAUL

10 Guest Characters We'd Love To See In Mortal Kombat 12 (9)

If Mortal Kombat can flirt with the Terminator and Predator franchises, there's no excuse for staying away from Star Wars. A Sith Lord should feel right at home amidst the chaos of an MK conflict, and who better to bask in all the bloodshed than everyone's favorite Zabrak force-wielder?

Darth Maul is acrobatic and strong enough to tackle any foe in the MK universe, plus he's got the force on his side. In addition to a number of creative attacks, his fatalities could focus on a mixture of a force choke and spinning double-bladed saber that dices his opponents into bite-sized little cutlets.

1 VENOM

10 Guest Characters We'd Love To See In Mortal Kombat 12 (10)

Now here's an anti-hero that would love to get in on a piece of the action! Spider-Man's most nightmarish foe is such a fit for Mortal Kombat that he might as well be a regular. An inventive use of symbiote-based attacks, webbing and super-strength could make Venom an easy match even for hulking baddies like Goro.

It doesn't take a lot of time to think up a number of horrific fatalities Venom could inflict on his enemies, and we're sure that includes cracking open a few skulls and devouring brains, as the character is so inclined to do!
